Beerwah Karate is a Shotokan karate club located on the beautiful Sunshine Coast. They offer classes for children aged 6 years and above, all the way up to Veterans. Their karate program focuses on developing self-discipline, fitness, coordination, and goal setting while also fostering strong friendships within the club.

Following the rules set by the World Karate Federation, Beerwah Karate practices a non-contact approach (no head contact) with controlled contact to the body. Aspiring students are encouraged to set their goals on achieving a black belt, knowing that the journey towards it will bring numerous personal growth and achievements. Originally established in 1990 as part of Seikukan, Beerwah Karate became an independent club in 2010 under the leadership of Sensei Ann Hill.

Sensei Ann has an impressive background in karate, holding the titles of 4th Dan Current Australian Referee Kumite, Judge Kata, Oceania Kumite Judge, and Level 1 Coaching NCAS. She is also a former competitor in State and National kata and kumite events. Embodying the strength and solidity of the local mountain from which it takes its name, Beerwah Karate is committed to building strong minds and bodies in its members.
