## Description

Bees Before Profit is a charitable trust established in 2011 to help secure the future of native honey bees and other pollinators. The organisation highlights threats including declining bee populations, harmful pesticides, loss of wildflower meadows, intensive farming, and the spread of pests and diseases. It also raises concerns about beekeeping practices and the effects of commercial pressures on bees and their habitats.

The trust brings together practical beekeeping experience and scientific research to support improvements in beekeeping methods, equipment, and land use. Its work focuses on four areas: beekeeping methods, chemicals, land use, and bee strains. Through unbiased research, development, and education, Bees Before Profit aims to encourage approaches that better protect pollinators and their environments. The organisation describes itself as being in its early stages and asks for support to help advance its work. Its website provides information about the trust’s focus areas and ways people can help, positioning the organisation as an advocate for change in how bees are managed and how land is used.
