## Description

Bejo España is a renowned brand that offers a wide range of lettuce varieties resistant to Bremia, also known as mildew (Bremia lactucae). Recently, the International Committee for the Evaluation of Bremia in the EU officially identified three new Bremia races in lettuce: Bl:38EU, Bl:39EU, and Bl:40EU. Through rigorous testing, Bejo has discovered that almost all of their commercial lettuce varieties resistant to Bl:16-37EU are also resistant to Bl:16-40EU and Bl:29-40EU, which is the new resistance description for highly resistant varieties. This is great news for growers, as Bremia can be highly destructive to lettuce crops. Bejo understands the importance of providing reliable lettuce varieties that offer the best available protection. Their commitment to continuous improvement ensures that their next generation of lettuce varieties will have the highest possible resistance to Bremia, without compromising quality and other important features. Although resistant varieties are supplied to growers by genetic improvement companies, it's important to note that this is not a guarantee against Bremia infections. To protect the crops and prevent the emergence of new races, an integrated approach involving hygiene measures, proper chemical control, and the use of resistant varieties is crucial. For more information about Bejo's lettuce assortment and current resistance packages, contact their local representatives or visit their website. Trust Bejo España to be your dedicated partner in providing reliable lettuce varieties that offer the best available protection.
