## Description

Bella’s Ferment Co. is a small-batch fermentation business founded by Bella Kim in London, Ontario. Inspired by the traditional Korean kimchi she learned to make alongside her grandmother, Bella prepares each batch by hand using family recipes and naturally fermented methods. The range includes napa cabbage kimchi in mild, spicy and extra-spicy varieties; spicy radish kimchi; medium cucumber kimchi; carrot and chives kimchi; and purple cabbage sauerkraut. Products are made with fresh vegetables, garlic, ginger, onion and Korean red pepper, with local sourcing wherever possible. The ferments are vegan, free from fish sauce, preservatives and MSG, and the business states that it is HACCP certified. Bella’s Ferment Co. sells through farmers’ markets, independent shops and other retailers across Southwestern Ontario. Customers can arrange order pickup at the company’s London kitchen, and wholesale options are available for grocers, cafés and restaurants. The company also makes private-label kimchi, bringing its handmade ferments to more shelves and tables.
