## Description

Bellerive Historical Society Inc. is a community organisation established in 1990 to research, document and share the history of Bellerive, Tasmania. The Society also catalogues and cares for local heritage items, welcomes historically significant gifts, and maintains a substantial collection of photographs and memorabilia dating from the mid-19th century onwards. Its online gallery features examples of local history, including material relating to Bellerive Post Office, Bellerive Village and the Bellerive Regatta.

The Society offers opportunities to explore local history through regular meetings, events and its image gallery. Meetings are held at Howrah Community Centre on the first Monday of the month, from February to November; times alternate between 1:30 pm in even-numbered months and 7:00 pm in odd-numbered months. Non-members are welcome. Annual membership costs $35, and the Society also has a shop and publishes information about its activities and collections online. Office visits are arranged by appointment. Located at 17 Cambridge Road, Bellerive, the Society can be contacted by phone for opening hours and visitor information.
