## Description

Bellis e.V. is a Leipzig-based organization focused on victim support and violence prevention. It supports adults affected by sexualized or domestic violence, as well as their relatives, friends, and professional supporters. Drawing on experience in psychosocial counseling and forensic medical examinations, Bellis provides information and practical assistance tailored to people’s needs.

Its services include counseling in Leipzig and specialist support for people affected by sexualized violence in the city and the districts of Leipzig and Nordsachsen. The organization offers support to people aged 14 and older in the districts, and a queer-sensitive service in Leipzig for people aged 18 and older, open to all genders. Bellis also provides medical assistance after rape or domestic violence, including confidential forensic evidence preservation independent of whether a police report is made.

Through its statewide work, Bellis seeks to improve support structures for survivors. It is also participating in the SuSe project, collaborating with disability support facilities to develop sustainable protection concepts that promote safe living and working environments.
