About

Description

Belstone Village is a picturesque haven of peace nestled 1,000 feet up on the northern edge of Dartmoor, above the Skaigh Valley. With a close-knit and friendly community of just 250 residents, this village caters to people of all ages, from toddlers to those in their nineties. Belstone offers a wide range of clubs and groups, including cricket, drama, arts and crafts, yoga, Pilates, and more, all of which organize fundraising events for local and national charities.

As part of the National Park, the village is home to sheep, cattle, and ponies, while old stocks add to its charm. The village provides breathtaking views, including a panoramic vista from Great Green overlooking the Skaigh Valley and Cosdon Hill. Belstone is an ideal destination for walkers, with access to Ten Tors, Irishman's Wall, and Nine Maidens Stone Circle.

The village also hosts an annual Village Fair, Craft Fair, and various seasonal events. Belstone Village maintains a thriving Village Hall, with its own WiFi, and has converted an old red telephone box into a defibrillator station. Additionally, the village features a friendly pub, The Tors Inn, and a beautiful Norman church with evidence of its Norman origins.

Belstone Village is a delightful blend of history and modernity, offering a unique and enriching experience for residents and visitors alike
