## Description

Bemidji Youth Hockey Association (BYHA) is a community-based youth hockey organization in Bemidji, Minnesota, dedicated to helping young athletes grow through hockey. Guided by the spirit of hometown hero Paul Bunyan and its “Lumberjack Way,” the association promotes personal development while valuing respect, passion, unity, leadership, character, transparency, fairness, fun, competition, and prudence. Its programs serve players across multiple age groups and skill levels, from introductory Mite and learn-to-play opportunities to in-house and travel teams, including Squirt, 12U, Peewee, Bantam, and Junior Gold. BYHA also offers fall hockey, a Northern Minnesota Hockey Camp, referee classes, tryouts, baseline testing, and coaching and player-development resources. The organization coordinates regular-season play and travel tournaments, with schedules covering teams and rinks in Bemidji and the surrounding region. Resources and support are available for players, parents, coaches, team managers, and officials, alongside guidance on registration, conduct, volunteering, apparel, and hockey requirements. BYHA describes its community as one family, bringing together players, families, volunteers, and coaches to build skills, teamwork, sportsmanship, and character on and off the ice.
