## Description

The Ben Carlson Memorial & Scholarship Foundation (BCMSF) is a dedicated nonprofit organization honoring the legacy of Ben Carlson, a heroic Newport Beach Lifeguard who tragically lost his life while saving others. Established by family, friends, and fellow lifeguards, the foundation aims to provide annual scholarships to under-resourced children, promoting opportunities in water safety and lifeguarding. BCMSF actively works to enhance safety systems for both lifeguards and the public, fostering a sustainable relationship with the ocean.

Based in Newport Beach, California, the foundation not only shares Ben's inspiring story but also cultivates awareness about the risks associated with ocean conditions. Memorials, including a statue of Ben, serve as a tribute to his bravery and dedication. Through community support, BCMSF continues its mission to empower youth, build resilience, and nurture a love for the water, ensuring that Ben’s spirit lives on in the lives of many. Contributions to the foundation are tax-deductible, making it easier for supporters to make a meaningful impact.
