## Description

David Bengoa is an independent software engineer and entrepreneur who builds digital tools and experiments with open technologies. A free software and open standards enthusiast, he has contributed to several open-source projects and shares his work through a portfolio of applications, utilities, and web services. His projects span cryptocurrency, browsing, automation, data collection, and online content.

Among his creations are Memwallet, a deterministic cryptocurrency address generator for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Monero, and Tinfoil, which turns an old smartphone into a hardware wallet. He also created Portia, a tool for scraping websites without programming, and Splash, a scriptable headless browser with an HTTP API. Other work includes RSS feeds for services such as Reddit and Hacker News, command-line development utilities, and lightweight reading tools.

Bengoa has also co-founded BrowserBlade, a cloud-based browser project, and led development of Mya.me, a contextual computing platform for Internet of Things automations. His earlier venture, Umamimo, offered online food ordering.
