## Description

Ben Hanna is an independent creator whose work spans writing, software, and community projects. With the straightforward motto “I make things. Sometimes they work,” his website shares practical experiments, personal reflections, and projects shaped by family life and technology. His writing covers topics such as building custom audiobook players for his children, automating a hard-drive setup with SwitchBot and Claude, and exploring activities like magnet fishing. Earlier posts discuss RSS, newspaper subscription costs, solar benefits, family moves, and organizing technology-focused gatherings.

Hanna also founded Growing Meals, a nonprofit that connects children in early childhood education with healthy meals. His projects combine hands-on problem-solving with an interest in making useful ideas accessible, from small hardware and software solutions to community initiatives. The site presents his writing and projects as the primary offerings; it does not describe a commercial product catalog or a formal range of services. Readers can browse recent and older posts for insight into his experiments, interests, and experiences, including work associated with Custom Camps and the Dweb Camp gathering. Overall, Ben Hanna’s brand is personal and maker-oriented, centered on sharing what he builds, learns, and supports.
