## Description

Ben Pease is an award-winning Indigenous artist, recognized for his innovative approach to contemporary Apsáalooke and Tsétsêhéstâhese (Crow and Northern Cheyenne) artistry. Based in Native America, Pease's work elegantly merges traditional materials with modern technology, creating thought-provoking artworks that explore Indigenous identity and culture. His notable piece, "Keeper of Time and Place - Thunderbird Shield," is an emblematic contemporary war shield that embodies the resilience of Indigenous communities. Crafted from buffalo hide, ermine skins, and embellished with high-tech elements like an iPad and neon lights, the shield challenges static interpretations of cultural identity and invites dialogue about the evolving nature of being Indigenous today.

Ben Pease’s portfolio includes acrylic, oil, and digital paintings, showcased in major exhibitions such as “Apsaalooke Women & Warriors” at the University of Chicago. He invites inquiries about his original works through his website, where art collectors and enthusiasts can experience the vibrant creativity of Indigenous cultural expression. For inquiries, reach out to the artist at art@benpeasevisions.com.
