## Description

BENT Collective is a queer- and trans-led community offering inclusive combat sports and professional wrestling training for LGBTQIA+ people in Leeds and beyond. Built around the belief that sport can support community and liberation, the organisation creates a welcoming space for people to develop skills, confidence and connections without prejudice or intolerance. Its classes are queer-centred and emphasise collaboration, making them accessible to people who may find traditional combat sports environments difficult to approach.

Training options include self-defence, Muay Thai, submission grappling, professional wrestling, mixed martial arts (MMA), and strength and conditioning. Members can join classes to learn practical techniques, explore wrestling, improve fitness or connect with like-minded people. The collective also offers access to all its classes for £35 per month, while stating that no one is turned away for lack of funds. BENT Collective encourages prospective members to get in touch with questions about training or the organisation. Member testimonials describe gaining new skills and confidence, making friends, and feeling included in a caring community.
