BEPA_EU is the association behind the BATT4EU Partnership, a Co-programmed Partnership established under Horizon Europe, the Framework Programme for Research and Innovation of the European Union. The aim of BEPA_EU is to establish a competitive and sustainable European industrial value-chain for e-mobility and stationary applications, ultimately driving the transformation towards a carbon-neutral society. By pooling resources and knowledge, the Partnership strives to create the best innovation ecosystem in Europe by 2030. Its objectives include contributing to Europe's climate-neutral goals, enabling European leadership in the battery industry, and providing safer and more sustainable batteries and processes. The Partnership also focuses on developing differentiating technologies in battery materials, cell design and manufacturing, and battery recycling. Under the governance of the Partnership Board, which includes delegates from the European Commission and BEPA_EU, the work of the Partnership is driven by the common benefit of the European battery value chain and the public interest. With a focus on advanced materials development and battery cell design & manufacturing, BEPA_EU seeks to position Europe as a global leader in battery technology.
