## Description

Berdesia is a nonprofit organization founded in 2016 by residents of Tafalla, in Navarra, Spain. It works to create a protective, permeable green environment around the city: a roughly 400-hectare mosaic of forests and ecological crops that connects with nearby green areas. The project aims to establish a welcoming living space for wildlife, residents, and visitors, while forming a green perimeter that supports a greener urban setting.

Berdesia advances this vision through practical, community-oriented environmental work. Its activities include planting trees, expanding forest areas, adding new species over time, and developing ecological crops as part of the green belt. The organization also promotes a beehive recovery project and invites people to take part in its initiatives. Its website shares information about the project, workstreams, objectives, events, and news, including activities in Tafalla. Berdesia reports social support and ongoing progress with Tafalla City Council and the Government of Navarra. By bringing residents and public institutions together, it seeks to grow a connected landscape that benefits nature and the local community.
