Bereas is a prominent Belgian Registrar Association that was founded in April 2016 with the aim of representing the interests and concerns of Registrars that offer Belgian domain names. The association is driven by its core values and is created by and for Registrars. With a foundation laid by some of the top minds in the Belgian domain name space, Bereas ensures expertise and experience in the domain name industry. Bereas strives to protect and represent Registrars worldwide who sell Belgian domain names such as .be, .vlaanderen, .brussels, and .gent. It actively engages in the public debate surrounding domain names and participates in user groups related to Belgian domain names. The association organizes regular meetings and training sessions to keep its members informed about all aspects of domain names. Bereas focuses on four key areas: active participation, representation in official bodies, information dissemination, and effective communication. It acts as a united spokesperson for the Belgian Registrar community, safeguarding their commercial interests. Currently, Bereas is the only association in Belgium that specializes in representing Registrars and is legally organized in the domain name industry.
