## Description

Bergen County Silent Fliers LLC (BCSF) is a non-profit radio-controlled aviation club founded in 1983 and based at Dunkerhook Park in Fair Lawn, New Jersey. The club promotes and encourages the research, development, design, construction, and operation of electric-powered radio-controlled aircraft. Its activities emphasize safety, recreation, fellowship, and enjoyment rather than competition. BCSF is Northern New Jersey’s first and only Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) Gold Leader Club, an award recognizing chartered clubs. It is also a teaching club, with instructors available to help newcomers learn to fly and take part in the hobby. The organization offers flight instruction and activities involving multi-rotor aircraft and quadcopters, alongside club events, resources, photos, videos, and merchandise. Flying at its field requires a permit issued to members in good standing. Membership is open to Bergen County residents who hold a valid AMA card. Because the field is in a Bergen County public park, gas- and glow-powered airplanes are prohibited under county ordinances.
