## Description

Bergerie d’Acremont is a family-run sheep farm in Acremont, near Bertrix, in Wallonia, Belgium. Peter De Cock-Vissenaekens established the farm in 1999 with around twenty Belgian dairy sheep; Barbara joined him in 2007, and the flock has since grown to about 250. Peter trained in agronomy and is a Swiss-qualified master cheesemaker, bringing specialist expertise to the farm’s dairy production.

The farm prioritizes locally sourced, non-GMO feed without soy, maize, or silage. In the grazing season, the sheep eat grass, lucerne, and clover; in winter, they receive hay produced on the farm and a supplement of linseed cake, barley, triticale, and spelt. The flock also grazes in an orchard of heritage fruit trees, alongside plantings of fodder trees.

Bergerie d’Acremont offers farm products, visitor experiences, and meals, and invites guests to stay at its farm accommodation, La Bergerie d’Acremont. The farm also lists points of sale and welcomes visitors during set hours, with additional opening times during school holidays.
