## Description

Best Eyesight is an independent project that develops browser-based tools and shares research on vision self-testing, eyesight habits, and myopia. Its free, calibrated vision test uses Sloan letters to measure each eye at a real distance and reports decimal and Snellen results; it can be used without an account. Users can also track test history, record testing conditions and notes, and compare results over time, with optional account-based syncing across devices.

The site offers a myopia guide presenting an ordered set of habit changes and measurements, alongside videos documenting ongoing experiments into eye length, lighting, reading, and visual conditions. Best Eyesight also provides Stimulus, a free Windows desktop overlay with animated stars, and a fullscreen piano score viewer designed for displaying sheet music on a TV, with adjustable layouts and inverted colors. Fixed-layout versions of the viewer are available as well. The project describes its work as an exploration of how everyday behaviors may affect eyesight, and makes clear that its tools and research are not a substitute for professional eye care.
