About
Description
BestPrep is a Minnesota-based nonprofit organization that provides educational programs to students in grades 4-12, aiming to prepare them with business, career, and financial literacy skills through hands-on experiences. Since 1976, BestPrep has impacted over 1. 7 million youth across Minnesota and continues to provide educators with resources to ensure that students are equipped for college, work, and career success.
BestPrep offers seven different programs that bridge the gap between classroom learning and workplace skills. These programs are offered at low or no cost to students, teachers, and schools, and can be seamlessly incorporated into the curriculum. From requesting classroom speakers to discussing career or financial topics, providing mentorship to students, offering workplace tours, teaching about the stock market, and more, educators can enhance their curriculum and meet curriculum requirements.
BestPrep also offers opportunities for students to get ready for higher education and the job market. One of these opportunities is the Minnesota Business Venture (MBV), a business and career development summer camp for Minnesota youth. Additionally, BestPrep mobilizes thousands of volunteers every year, offering high-impact, skills-based volunteer opportunities with a low time commitment.
These opportunities include being a classroom speaker, mock interviewer, email mentor, business plan judge, financial planner, stock market investment adviser, or job shadow provider for educators. As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, BestPrep relies on the support of sponsors and partners to serve Minnesota youth. Individuals, companies, and foundations are all encouraged to get involved and give back to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students.
If you're a student, educator, volunteer, or donor, BestPrep invites you to learn more about their programs and how you can benefit from or contribute to their mission of preparing students with essential skills for success in work and life
