## Description

Best-ReMaP is a comprehensive Europe-wide Joint Action running from 2020 to 2023, dedicated to enhancing the quality of food supplied to citizens across Europe. The initiative focuses on fostering the exchange and evaluation of effective practices in several crucial areas, including the analysis of food consumption trends, marketing regulations aimed at children, and the procurement processes for public food services in educational institutions and social care facilities. 

To achieve its objectives, Best-ReMaP provides essential support to member states by facilitating data collection through a Food Information Database, which monitors food reformulation efforts to reduce salt, sugar, and fat in processed foods. The project also aims to mitigate harmful food marketing targeted at children by exploring the expansion of effective Scandinavian regulations throughout the EU. Best-ReMaP strengthens collaboration among stakeholders in nutrition by organizing workshops and conferences for health professionals and policymakers, fostering the development and sharing of innovative approaches to improve public health.
