## Description

**Bestuivers.nl** is an initiative by EIS Kenniscentrum Insecten, dedicated to raising awareness and providing knowledge about wild pollinators in the Netherlands, particularly wild bees and hoverflies. The platform serves as a comprehensive resource, offering insights into the life cycles, identification tips, and ecological significance of these essential insects. Bestuivers.nl features a variety of educational content, including portraits of different bee species, their habitats, and the importance of biodiversity in urban and agricultural landscapes.

In addition to educational resources, the website highlights various projects aimed at protecting these valuable pollinators, such as the national bumblebee monitoring network and initiatives focused on enhancing floral diversity in green spaces. It also provides guidance on how to create bee-friendly environments, such as installing bee hotels and practicing mindful mowing techniques. Through publications and projects, Bestuivers.nl fosters a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by wild pollinators, aiming to inspire collective action for their conservation and support.
