Betty Rae's Ice Cream is a beloved ice cream brand that started in Kansas City's Waldo neighborhood in 2015. With a passion for handcrafted ice cream, founders David Friesen and Mary Nguyen initially offered 26 delicious flavors to their customers. Since then, Betty Rae's has expanded its operations and now boasts a second location in the River Market neighborhood, as well as an ice cream truck.

Under new ownership, Betty Rae's continues to serve its signature 26 housemade flavors, ranging from classic favorites like Vanilla Bean and Chocolate to unique seasonal options like Joe's KC BBQ & Burnt Ends, which even includes real meat! In addition to their incredible ice cream, Betty Rae's offers homemade waffle cones, ice cream sandwiches, decadent sundaes, and boozy shakes. At Betty Rae's, they believe in making a positive impact beyond simply serving delicious ice cream. They allocate 10% of their profits each year to support local, national, and international organizations, charities, and individuals dedicated to serving their communities.
