## Description

FIRA, the Federation of International Retail Associations, is a prominent organization dedicated to fostering networking, collaboration, and knowledge sharing among retail trade association executives globally. By enhancing the effectiveness of retail trade associations, FIRA plays a crucial role in advancing the success of the global retail industry. The federation conducts two annual meetings, including its flagship event at NRF’s Retail’s Big Show in New York, where industry leaders converge to discuss trends and challenges.

As the permanent Secretariat of FIRA, the National Retail Federation (NRF) supports national retail associations in their pursuit of growth and sustainability. Members gain access to a wealth of resources, including research on retail sales trends, economic forecasts, and loss prevention strategies, which are critical for informed decision-making. FIRA also prioritizes advocacy on key issues such as organized retail crime and payment reforms. Through these initiatives, FIRA contributes significantly to shaping the future landscape of retail, ensuring its members remain competitive and resilient in a dynamic market.
