## Description

Bevrijdingsfestival Overijssel is a public festival celebrating freedom and commemorating the end of the Second World War in the Netherlands. Bringing people together for a shared day of remembrance and celebration, the festival recognizes the role of Allied forces and the Dutch resistance in the country’s liberation, while honoring those who lost their lives. Its program combines live music with activities and experiences for a broad audience. Past lineups have featured artists including Typhoon & Sticks, DI-RECT, Kensington and K’s Choice, alongside performances such as that of the Jostiband. Festival areas include a family meadow, a garden for drinks, a dance theatre and the Festival Boulevard, where visitors can explore stalls and workshops. The organization also offers volunteer opportunities, including stagehand work and festival-site setup, and invites businesses to become partners or sponsors. Visitors can buy VIP tickets for access to a dedicated area near the stage, a VIP stage view, a separate relaxation space and backstage tours. Donations help support the festival’s continued accessibility.
