## Description

**Brand Description: Beyond Inhabitation**

Beyond Inhabitation is an innovative collective study lab dedicated to exploring the evolving dynamics of urban inhabitation and the politics surrounding it globally. Established under Professor Lancione’s ERC Starting Grant on 'Inhabiting Radical Housing,' the lab investigates the complexities of housing and everyday life, addressing the intertwined issues of class, race, and gender injustices.

Through a collaborative and decolonial lens, the lab facilitates critical dialogue and research around three key themes: Urban Ground, which focuses on the lived experiences of urban life; Precarious Housing, examining struggles against housing insecurity; and Liberatory Politics, which envisions emancipation through grassroots organizing. Beyond Inhabitation hosts seminars, working groups, and activist residencies, fostering an environment for collective learning and advocacy.

By emphasizing intersectional approaches and rejecting a singular theory of inhabitation, Beyond Inhabitation aims to enhance our understanding of urban challenges and inspire multi-faceted, actionable responses to foster justice and equity in living spaces worldwide.
