## Description

Beyond Steps Mentoring & Training is an Australian small business providing paediatric orthopaedic footwear and therapy education for children and the professionals who support them. Based in Brisbane, the business is led by Claudia Rizzo, a senior physiotherapist with more than 20 years of paediatric experience. Its footwear range includes stability-focused boots, sneakers and sandals, along with accessories designed to support children’s ankles and movement. Families can use the online fit resources and book an appointment-only footwear trial in Brendale to explore suitable options. Beyond Steps accepts NDIS funding and works in partnership with a child’s physiotherapist to help identify an appropriate fit.

The business also offers professional training and mentorship in Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI), a hands-on approach supporting children with gross motor delays, as well as training in the Basic Fundamentals of the Spider Cage. Courses are available at introductory and intermediate levels, with selected options delivered online or in person. Individual mentorship can address assessment, treatment planning, handling skills and goal-setting.
