## Description

Beyond the Books provides bookkeeping and tax services for small businesses, with a focus on service-based owners such as consultants, therapists, creatives, freelancers, and coaches. Led by founder Catherine Lane, an IRS Enrolled Agent with an MBA and more than 20 years of experience, the business aims to make financial information clear and useful for confident decision-making.

Its bookkeeping services include reconciliations, financial reporting, review meetings, secure client portal access, and support questions. Clients can choose monthly or quarterly service options and select from three package tiers. Tax services cover individual and business return preparation, as well as year-round planning, quarterly estimate reviews, and planning add-ons. Beyond the Books also offers a DIY Xero setup course for business owners who prefer to manage their own books.

The company emphasizes transparent flat-rate pricing, proactive guidance, and direct support without hourly billing. Prospective clients can schedule a free clarity call to discuss their current setup and determine which services or package best fit their needs.
