## Description

The Chronicles Group is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to documenting urgent environmental, humanitarian, and social challenges and drawing attention to lessons that can help protect the future. Through documentary filmmaking and related educational and public-awareness work, the group explores issues including water scarcity, food security, climate change, population growth, public health, and national and international security.

Its productions include Running Dry, which examines the global water crisis and helped lead to the Senator Paul Simon Water for the World Act, as well as The American Southwest: Are We Running Dry?, Beyond the Brink, and A Matter of National Security. The group has also produced documentaries on California’s watersheds, including California’s Watershed and California’s Watershed Healing, and on nuclear weapons in Cold War and Beyond. Earlier work addressed crime and the criminal justice system. Led by filmmaker Jim Thebaut, The Chronicles Group shares its projects, press releases, and news while inviting public support through donations.
