## Description

The Barra do Garças Athletics Association (BGAAT) is a Brazilian social organization that has used sport to support education, inclusion and personal development since 2004. Based in Barra do Garças, Mato Grosso, it serves children, young people and adults across the city, nearby districts and Indigenous villages. Its programs combine sports training with opportunities to build discipline, responsibility, teamwork and well-being.

BGAAT offers athletics activities ranging from beginner instruction to high-performance development, as well as football training and quality-of-life initiatives. Its projects include Crescendo com Atletismo, Vivendo o Atletismo, Futebol da Vila Olímpica, Mexa-se and programs for communities in regional districts and Indigenous villages, including initiatives for Indigenous women. Participants can develop physical and motor skills, take part in group activities and, where appropriate, compete at regional and national levels.

The association reports more than 20 years of activity, five active social projects, over 50 international competition medals and 113 university degrees earned by athletes and former athletes.
