## Description

BGCGW (Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington) is a brand that is dedicated to serving kids and teens in the Greater Washington region. Their mission is to help children from all backgrounds, particularly those who need it the most, build confidence, develop character, and acquire the skills necessary to become responsible and civic-minded adults. BGCGW operates 16 sites covering 75 miles from Manassas to Germantown, providing safe havens for over 1,500 youth. These clubs offer a wide range of programs and activities that promote Academic Success, Good Character and Citizenship, and Healthy Lifestyles. At BGCGW, inclusivity is paramount, as they welcome every child for a minimal annual membership fee and refuse to turn away any child due to inability to pay. The organization follows a Formula for Impact, a roadmap developed by their National Headquarters, that encompasses key elements for positive youth development. These elements include safety, fun, support, opportunity, and recognition. By implementing this model across all their sites, BGCGW ensures the achievement of their priority outcomes. To support their cause, BGCGW collaborates with volunteers, event sponsors, and program funders. They offer various ways for individuals and organizations to get involved, including donating, volunteering, partnering, and participating in events. By staying informed through updates, announcements, and newsletters, supporters can actively contribute to the success of BGCGW. So join BGCGW in their mission to create great futures for the youth of Greater Washington!.
