## Description

The British Holistic Healthcare Association (BHHA), formerly the British Holistic Medical Association, is a UK membership charity promoting person-centred, sustainable and compassionate healthcare. It advocates a holistic view of health that considers the whole person and recognises the role of everyday settings, relationships and communities in creating wellbeing. The association has shared ideas and practical experience from the frontiers of holistic healthcare for 40 years, bringing together members and others interested in improving health and care.

BHHA offers membership with access to an online community, the Journal of Holistic Healthcare, member news, events and opportunities for collaboration and networking. Its activities include conferences, online events and resources for students and healthcare professionals. The association publishes journal issues and articles on subjects including integrative medicine, self-care, medical education, social prescribing and health creation. Subscribers can explore the journal’s back catalogue using a conversational interface. BHHA also provides articles, blogs, videos, a course and a newsletter, helping share perspectives and resources on holistic approaches across healthcare and health creation.
