## Description

The British Hen Welfare Trust is a national charity dedicated to transforming the lives of commercial laying hens. Since 2005, they have saved a staggering 931,987 hens from slaughter and rehomed 60,000 hens annually. With 46 adoption sites across the UK, they provide a second chance for these hens to live a free-range life. The British Hen Welfare Trust not only focuses on hen adoption but also offers a range of services and resources to ensure the health and well-being of hens. They provide guidance on hen husbandry, hen health examinations, and FAQs on common health problems. They also have a dedicated Hen Helpline and a network of hen-friendly vets to support hen owners. In addition to their work with hens, the British Hen Welfare Trust promotes fun and educational activities related to hens and the egg industry. They offer workshops on chick hatching in schools, primary learning programs, and activities and games for children to learn about hens. By supporting the British Hen Welfare Trust, you can help make a difference in the lives of hens and contribute to their mission of improving hen welfare across the UK.
