Founded on the initiative of sensei Piotr Cieśliński, the club has been part of the official branch of the World Karate Organization since November 2011. It describes itself as the first karate club in Jelenia Góra and the city’s only club licensed by the Polish Karate Association. The club provides Shinkyokushinkai karate training, with sessions designed to develop confidence, determination, focus, calm and the ability to pursue goals. Classes are led by licensed instructors with higher education in psychology and pedagogy. New participants can try a first training session free of charge, and the club offers separate enrolment information for children and for adults and young people. In addition to regular training, Biały Lew Dojo organises summer and winter camps that combine physical activity with recreation.
