## Description

The Bee Industry Council of Western Australia (BICWA) is the peak industry body for beekeeping in Western Australia. It works to build a sustainable, connected and well-supported industry, representing beekeepers on policy, land access, biosecurity and other key issues. BICWA also provides practical guidance, industry news, tools and updates to help members operate with confidence.

Membership is open to recreational beekeepers, commercial operators and businesses that support the industry, whether they manage a few hives or a large operation. Members can access training, events, industry information and a collective voice on decisions affecting beekeeping in the state. BICWA shares knowledge among local beekeepers and provides resources on biosecurity, including guidance on the Varroa mite threat and reporting unusual signs.

The organisation also offers information about farm business resilience and publishes case studies from its program. For buyers seeking Western Australian honey suppliers, BICWA maintains a public directory of commercial honey producers and packers, with listings available to eligible local businesses. Its website also provides news, contacts, forms and regulatory information.
