## Description

Bie Daip is an annual international folk and sea songs festival held in Appingedam, the Netherlands. Organised by Stichting Bie Daip, it brings together groups from Europe and other continents for a lively programme of music, singing, dance and theatre. Performances take place across the city, including on the church square, at a music pavilion, in local hospitality venues, historic buildings and on the water. The festival features folk and maritime music, with participating ensembles presenting varied traditions and repertoires. Its wider programme includes indoor and outdoor activities, free events for children and an open stage for young performers. Visitors can also find practical information about transport, parking and boat trips, with local round-trip tickets available through the visitor information centre and festival information stand. Alongside the festival, Bie Daip promotes related community events, including Winterwarm Appingedam, a seasonal fair with music, food and family entertainment. The organisation invites supporters to contribute through donations and fundraising initiatives, helping sustain its cultural activities and annual celebration.
