## Description

The Big Island Chocolate Festival, organized by the Kona Cacao Association (KCA), is a premier event celebrating the vibrant cacao industry of Hawaii. Returning in 2024, the festival features an engaging lineup including chef booths, educational seminars, live demonstrations, and a student chef competition. Attendees can participate in exciting cacao bean tastings judged by industry professionals while supporting local non-profits through a dynamic gala fundraiser and silent auction.

Founded in 2011, the KCA is dedicated to fostering the local cacao community by providing educational resources and outreach opportunities for cacao farmers, hospitality professionals, and chocolate enthusiasts alike. Their mission extends beyond the festival; the association collaborates with various stakeholders to ensure the quality and marketability of Hawaiian cacao, promoting sustainability and fair trade practices. By hosting workshops and competitions, the KCA aims to inspire innovation within the industry. Embrace the rich flavors and learning experiences that the Big Island Chocolate Festival has to offer, and join this movement towards cultivating Hawaii’s unique cacao heritage.
