# BikeMaps.org - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `bikemaps.org` ## Description BikeMaps.org is a global crowdsourcing platform focused on understanding cycling safety, risk, and crime. It invites cyclists and other road users to map the locations of collisions and falls, near misses, road hazards, and bicycle thefts, creating information that can be analyzed to identify problem areas. Users can submit reports through an interactive map and provide details about an event, including its date, type, circumstances, road and weather conditions, injuries, and effects on their cycling. Optional questions cover rider and trip characteristics to help build a more comprehensive picture of safety risks. The map also offers layers for different report categories, new cycling infrastructure, alert areas, and Strava ridership data, alongside date filtering and basemap options. BikeMaps.org provides visualization and blog sections, information about the project, and support for English, Spanish, French, Icelandic, Finnish, and Danish. By collecting location-based reports from the community, the platform helps make cycling incidents and hazards more visible and supports analysis of where safety improvements may be needed. ## Industries - 🏈 Sports - 🏈 Cycling and Biking _(under Sports)_ - 🖥 Computers Electronics and Technology ## Links - [twitter](https://twitter.com/BikeMapsTeam) - [facebook](https://facebook.com/BikeMaps.org) ## Logos & icons - icon _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idzAcIctQj/w/400/h/400/theme/dark/icon.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1791140436347) - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idzAcIctQj/w/39/h/45/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1791140436248) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Mirage | #161f29 | dark | | Goldenrod | #fcd673 | light | | Mountain Meadow | #18bc9c | accent | ## Fonts - Lato — asset _(google)_ - Carrois Gothic SC — asset _(google)_ ## Imagery - banner _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idzAcIctQj/w/1500/h/499/idLpPCfSgs.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1791140436483) --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
