## Description

Brett Kessler is a Colorado dentist, author, speaker, mentor, and community advocate whose work brings together dentistry, leadership, and personal growth. A clinician by profession, he has served as President of the American Dental Association, as a Trustee representing the 14th District, and as President of the Colorado Dental Association. His website shares his story, ideas, and professional activities through a blog, podcast appearances, press coverage, videos, resources, and a photo gallery.

A central part of Kessler’s story is his recovery from substance use disorder, which began in 1998. He openly discusses how recovery shaped his commitment to service and to helping others share their own experiences. His community work has included treating patients at a sobriety house, where access to dental care could help people address barriers to employment. Recognized as a 5280 Magazine Top Dentist every year since 2006, Kessler also describes himself as an endurance athlete and adventurer, with two finishes at the Ironman World Championships in Kona.
