## Description

Bilderfahrzeuge is an innovative international research initiative dedicated to exploring the legacy of Aby Warburg and the evolving field of iconology. Situated at the intersection of art history and cultural studies, this project aims to investigate the transmission of images, ideas, and objects across various historical and geographical landscapes. Led by esteemed scholars, including Andreas Beyer and Gerhard Wolf, the initiative fosters collaboration among renowned institutions such as the Warburg Institute and the Max Weber Stiftung.

The brand's focus extends to diverse research endeavors examining visual media, image relocation, and cultural heritage, particularly concerning South Asian art histories. It promotes academic dialogue through events like lecture series and seminars, where researchers present findings that contribute to our understanding of image circulation in different contexts. By embracing interdisciplinary approaches, Bilderfahrzeuge seeks to redefine traditional narratives surrounding art and images, cultivating a rich platform for scholarly exploration and cultural exchange.
