BINJ (Boston Institute for Nonprofit Journalism) is an organization dedicated to supporting the development and production of independent news in Massachusetts. They work with community publications, collaborate with local and national editors, and produce bold and independent journalism. Through their reporting partnerships, they amplify the voices of their journalists and expand their future opportunities.

Some of their featured work includes investigative reports on topics such as the prosecution of a progressive Black protester, the impact of COVID-19 in Massachusetts prisons, and the communication challenges faced by commuters. BINJ encourages participation from the public by inviting story pitches and tips, accepting donations, and promoting their articles on social media.
