# bioMail

- **Website:** <https://bio-mail.com>
- **Primary alias:** `bio-mail.com`

## Description

Rather than relying on passwords or certificates, the service uses the sender’s and recipient’s registered biometrics to control access to communications. The company says messages and attachments are protected with AES-256 encryption while in transit, on email servers, and on recipients’ devices.

The bioMail client supports multiple email accounts, including Google, Yahoo, and AOL through OAuth2, as well as POP3, IMAP, and corporate email domains. Its features include a unified inbox, conversation trails, identifiable icons, and a local encrypted folder for storing sensitive messages and attachments. Users can send secured messages to individuals or groups, which recipients open using biometric verification.

Ardeun also describes a broader secure communications ecosystem spanning mobile and desktop use. Desktop email communication is available through a Microsoft Outlook add-on and a compatible fingerprint scanner; macOS support is described as forthcoming.
