The organization facilitates the implementation of key protocols such as the Nagoya Protocol and the Cartagena Protocol, ensuring that national strategies align with global biodiversity goals.

The CBD offers a range of services, including the provision of information and resources related to biodiversity management, communication, and public awareness initiatives. Its strategic plans and frameworks guide countries in setting national biodiversity targets and monitoring progress through comprehensive reporting mechanisms.
