## Description

The Center for Wildlife Conservation (CWС) is a charitable foundation working to address nature conservation challenges in Russia and other countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States. Its work spans Northern Eurasia and combines practical conservation projects with support for the organizations and communities involved in protecting wildlife and natural habitats.

The Center develops and carries out environmental initiatives, provides information, methodological guidance and consultation, and helps coordinate conservation organizations in Russia and abroad. It supports nature reserves, national parks and other specially protected natural areas, while also developing charitable funding mechanisms for wildlife conservation.

Its programs cover forest and steppe landscapes, marine coasts, protected-area management, species survival, climate and biodiversity, and nature in urban settings. The organization also works on environmental education, legal and social development, research and assessments, public information, and international cooperation. Its projects and resources include a network of protected areas, model territories, volunteer initiatives, publications and media outreach.
