## Description

BIOHEAL THERAPEUTICS is a medtech company focused on wound care, developing solutions intended to support healthcare professionals managing wounds. Its featured product, Protevion™ Hydrogel, is an investigational wound dressing made from porcine amnion and enhanced with hyaluronic acid. The flowable gel is designed to conform to wounds of different sizes and shapes, including deep, dry, irregular, or tunneling wounds, and to help maintain a moist, protective environment that supports the body’s natural healing process. BIOHEAL describes the hydrogel as moisture-retentive and non-adherent, with a formulation intended to avoid some placement challenges associated with sheet-based dressings. It is designed to absorb into the wound without sticking and can be prepared by mixing in approximately two minutes. The company identifies wound care specialists, podiatrists, burn care teams, and dermatologic surgeons among its intended professional audiences. BIOHEAL also offers information about its technology, partnerships, and company news. Protevion Hydrogel has not received FDA clearance and is not approved for sale or clinical use in the United States.
