Biolink Brain Training is a brand that specializes in providing alternative solutions for children with ADHD and other learning challenges. Our program focuses on improving cognitive and executive function skills, including planning, organization, critical thinking, and memory. What sets us apart is that we go beyond treating symptoms and aim to address the underlying issues. Our story began when our oldest son was diagnosed with ADHD and Autism in grade 1. As a teacher, I recognized that his lack of concentration was just one of the many challenges he would face. My husband, a professor of chemistry, conducted extensive research to find alternative treatments with scientific evidence and lasting results. This led us to the discovery of the Play Attention program, which had a significant impact on our son's development. In 2008, we opened the first Biolink Brain Training Centre in my garage. Today, we have expanded internationally with centres in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Canada, and the United States. In addition to our Brain Training Centre, we also opened The Study Method Hub, where we provide children with tools to practice executive function skills and teach study techniques. Our primary age group for skill development is between 8 and 14 years old. We believe that parent and teacher involvement play a crucial role in a child's development and strive to ensure that the children understand the purpose of their enrollment in the program, as their buy-in is essential for cooperation and motivation. In 2017, Marlize and I received the BEFA award for Best Female Entrepreneur, and at the American Psychological Association Conference in Washington DC that year, we launched our FOCUS Continuous Performance Test, which is now available in any language and used globally. Our mission is to continue offering support, hope, answers, and solutions to children, no matter their challenges. Our goal is to have a centre in every city or small town internationally, to help more and more parents, teachers, and children with the challenges they face.
