## Description

Bionomia is an innovative platform that bridges the gap between global natural history collections and the dedicated individuals who contribute to them. By linking collectors and researchers, Bionomia promotes the recognition of their expertise and efforts in specimen collection, identification, and data management. Acknowledging the underfunded and undervalued state of many natural history collections, Bionomia focuses on creating a professional reward system that honors contributions through transparent attribution and data sharing. Their services include the incorporation of ORCID identifiers to track individual contributions and the development of tools that facilitate the claiming of specimens. By connecting people, organizations, and datasets, Bionomia empowers natural historians to showcase their expertise and foster collaboration within the community. The name Bionomia, which translates to the laws of life, encapsulates the essence of the brand—celebrating the interconnectedness of life through ecological awareness and enthusiasm for natural history. With a stylized quill as their logo, Bionomia embodies the spirit of discovery and the dynamism involved in scientific inquiry.
