Biopac is a women-led company that was established in 2019 by two cofounders with complementary educational backgrounds and experiences. The director, Noryawati Mulyono, holds an undergraduate degree in Chemistry from ITB and a doctoral degree in food science from IPB, both reputable universities in Indonesia. With 20 years of experience in the food manufacturing industry, academia, and entrepreneurship, her passion for stopping plastic pollution led her to develop a research idea into a commercial-scale solution. Since 2010, she has been dedicated to persistent research in bioplastics.

Biopac's products offer a range of benefits. They are user-friendly, convenient, halal, animal-free, and have no allergic risks. The products are also colorable, printable, heat sealable, and adjustable in thickness. More importantly, they are environmentally friendly and 100% plastic-free. They are home compostable, safe for animals, aquatic life, and microbial diversity. Biopac's products are sustainable throughout the entire supply chain, from the materials used to the production process and end-of-life disposal.

By using seaweed as the raw material and employing an environmentally friendly process, Biopac reduces CO2 emissions and plastic waste while empowering seaweed farmers and creating job opportunities. With an experienced core team and strategic partners, Biopac aims to be the leader in the circular packaging story across various packaging formats.
