## Description

Bioresource Tools is a collection of digital resources developed by the Bioresource Management Group (BIEM) at Hamburg University of Technology’s Institute for Wastewater Management and Water Protection. The site shares tools created for the group’s studies, making them available to stakeholders and others working toward a resource-efficient bioeconomy. Its tools help users find and interpret organised information about local bioresources, supporting informed decisions about their characteristics and potential.

The BioResource Information Tool (BRIT) provides information on local bioresources through visualisations such as graphs and maps. Its inventories include default results from the group’s studies, while experts can adjust inputs to reflect local knowledge. The BRIT prototype was developed within the FLEXIBI project and later improved and extended through SOILCOM. SimuCF is a free tool for simulating biological degradation processes in waste management. The site also hosts the free online “Lectures for Future” series on residue- and by-product-based bioresources, including learning materials and a syllabus. Together, these offerings support research, learning, and practical bioresource management.
