## Description

Biotrend is an Argentine brand specializing in high-technology electromedical products. It designs, manufactures, and markets equipment for customers around the world, with a particular focus on pulse oximetry and patient monitoring. Its product range includes the Koala baby-monitoring system, the BPO250 pulse oximeter, and the BAT100 OEM oximetry module, which enables medical-device manufacturers to integrate pulse oximetry into their equipment. Biotrend’s OEM designs are used in medical devices such as neonatal incubators, multiparameter monitors, and mechanical ventilators.

The company’s history in oximetry began more than 14 years ago with the development of its first pulse oximeter. It later explored wireless monitoring, including a Bluetooth-based oximeter connected to a mobile phone, and developed SYNAPSE software for wireless equipment monitoring. Biotrend says it has developed its own pulse-oximetry acquisition technology and an exclusive measurement algorithm. Its mission is to advance electromedical technology and applications in response to user and consumer needs, while its vision is to become a global reference in oximetry.
